Busy busy busy…

I've been so flat out lately I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to get more info up on my newly furbished website.  Exams, weddings, lunar eclipse's – it's taken up all my time these past few weeks.  That said, I'm happy to announce that a special 2hr edition of Universal Language 009 feat. a guest mix by DJ Abstraction will go to air on ah.fm this Wednesday 5th Sep.

As always, its a new month – so please cast your vote (for me of course Tongue out) @ TheDJList.  Tune in 8pm AEST @ www.ah.fm to hear my new set.  Also if you've been hanging for the Australia In The Mix downloads, I am assured they are coming soon. I'll have direct links off my website to them, but you'll also be able to get them from the http://torrents.ah.fm/

I'd also like to give a shout out to Kyle Rosenthal.  Kyle is an MVP in Windows Shell, and runs a IT blog @: http://www.vistapcguy.net/  Kyle was kind enough to play one of mixes at this years TechEd at the Gold Coast.  This is a dodgy pic (I do have a higher res one where you can see it clearly).  In the bottom right, it says "Music Mix by DreamensioN – www.dreamension.net"

Trance section updated

So I finally worked out my way around the back end of this CMS product, and all the trance mixes have been brought over.  Now if you want any of my mixes, just click on the "Trance Mixes" button.  You can now vote on how much you liked each mix.  Once I get more familiar with Joomla! I'll make it so you can add comments aswell.

As I get more time over the next week (and weekend), I'll start putting the photo galleries up etc.

DreamensioN presents Universal Language 008

This mix was a warm-up set for my "Australia In The Mix" set I did for ah.fm.  This is another bangin' UL mix, and features another mashup by me – "Lost Tribe vs Jan Johnston – Calling Your Gamemaster".  Which is really a blend of Lost Tribe's "Gamemaster" and Jan Johnston's "Calling Your Name".  This set also features a brand new track by Marcie titled "Know You".  In this set I also used a few tracks I have been hanging onto for a while, waiting for the right set to come along so I could use them.

DJ Abstraction vs DreamensioN – Echos of Euphoria

Funny story about how I met DJ Abstraction.  I was googling myself (as you do) and I stumbled across DJ Abstractions MSN page.  In it he had me listed as one of his "top 10" DJ's.  Feeling quite flattered, I contacted him and we got talking.  Not long after that came my second collaborative work with another DJ.  This time titled "Echo's of Euphoria".  This compilation examines two distincly different types of trance.  My mix in this album is different to my usual style, and I spin some lesser known tracks.  DJ Abstractions mix gives you the energy with his uplifting trance vocals and massive tracks.  Enjoy!

DreamensioN presents Universal Language 006 feat. Marcie

In this mix I feature tracks by renown female vocalist Marcie.  Marcie was kind enough to do some voice overs for me, and since doing this mix I have featured many of her latest tracks in my sets.  If you don't know who Marcie is yet, you're missing out.  Seriously.  She is making her mark as the #1 female vocalist in the modern dance music scene, with a string of massive trance classics from the worlds top producers.  Marcie is one kitten to keep your eyes out for.

DreamensioN presents Universal Language 005

I was very happy with the way this mix turned out.  I recieved fantastic feedback about it, and one of the most popular tracks from the set was Fineday by Dallas Superstars.  This mix was also the first time I used a "foreign language" track, once again blending classic tracks with the lastest floor killers.

DreamensioN – Bedroom Sessions 9

It had been over 6 months since the last Bedroom Sessions mix, so I had some big shoes to fill.  Luckily, I was able to deliver.  Bedroom Sessions 9 continues the series with melodic and enchanting vocals.  As usual for this series, Disc 1 is the chilled out mix whilst Disc 2 is the energetic mix.

DreamensioN – Bedroom Sessions 3 (Renovated)

Going back in time, Bedroom Sessions 3 became the first mix I did in the "Renovated" series.  What's that?  Well…back in the day before I started getting more serious about mixing, I produced Bedroom Sessions 1 – 5.  The intention was good, but the execution was poor.  These mixes really did show how amature I was.  In order to go back and revive some of the old sets, and to give them the glory they deserved – I started to remix my older sets.  BS#3 (Renovated) was re-released on 3rd Jan 2007.

DreamensioN presents Universal Language 003

A very smooth mix, UL003 entices your ears with tribal sounds, building to a progressive finish.  This mix also contains my first mashup track, a bootleg mash I did of Matt Darey's "Eternity" and Dominic Plaza's "Sounds Rushing".  Out of all the Universal Language series, this remains a personal favourite of mine.

DreamensioN presents Universal Language 001

Picking up a monthly residency on internet radio station Afterhours.FM, I needed to come up with a name for my show.  Enter the "Universal Language" series.  I figured the name "Universal Language" because that's what music is, its something that crosses borders and can be appreciated by everyone.  This particular mix blends the sounds of uplifting trance, with some electro/industrial fusion.

DJ Intel vs DreamensioN – Gabriel & Dresden Tribute Mix

I met DJ Intel through a popular music forum, and we started giving each other feedback on the mixes we had done.  We then came up with the idea to do a "tribute mix" to a couple of our favourite producers – Gabriel & Dresden.  So here it is, the Gabriel & Dresden Tribute Mix – first released on Feb 14th 2006.

DreamensioN – Bedroom Sessions 6

Bedroom Sessions 6 was the first mix I did released on a large scale to the public.  First released on Sep 16th 2006, and the first double CD mix in this series, Bedroom Sessions 6 still remains an iconic mix of classic tracks.
