SCCM OSD Error: Failed To Download Policy (Code 0×80004005)

I’m relatively new to running SCCM in Native Mode, and the other day I came across an issue I hadn’t seen before.  In short, the problem was that my clients would boot into Windows PE (WinPE), but would not begin their advertised task sequence.  WinPE would think there’s nothing to do, and subsequently the client would reboot.  After some investigation, I found the error “Failed to Download Policy (Code 0×8004005)” in the SMSTS.LOG file.  And this is how I fixed the issue…..

Video: DJ Abstraction – Short House Mix

My friend Nick (aka DJ Abstraction) has posted a good little video of himself mixing up some house tracks.  The video was done primarly to test his new HD camera, but, for you budding DJ’s, its also a good video to watch.  If you’ve never seen what mixing music looks like – this gives you an idea of what goes on behind the booth.

Equipment in this video are 2 x Pioneer CDJ1000 MKIII’s, a Pioneer DJM600 mixer, a Korg Kaoss FX pad, and a laptop.  Ohh – and that glass of wine he has is a Brown Brothers Moscato wine – which took almost 2 months to get from my place (in Australia) to the UK (where he is). :P

DreamensioN presents Universal Language 022

Universal Language 022 is a vocal trance showcase, bringing you some of the latest tracks and past classics. Starting out at a chilled pace, and ending in an energetic surge; I start out this set with my own mashup, followed by the Tungsten remix of The Longest Road. Mixing out of that is a brand new track by female vocalist Marcie.

Guru Josh Project gets the 2008 treatment in a remix of this classic track from 1990. Australia’s own DJ tyDi then adds his flavour to the track Forward Motion by Marcie and Ben Bording (aka Yamin). I drop the Solarstone remix of Jump The Next Train, right before Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren get a look in. This is followed up by one of my favourite vocal tracks of the moment – Destination by DT8 Project.

Mixing out of that I do a long overlay with one of my all time favourite tracks – Gamemaster by Lost Tribe, before mixing into my own rehash of A Star Within A Star by Mark Sherry. Julian Vincent featuring Cathy Burton gives us vocal track to remember titled Certainty, before I end the set in my outtro edit of a japanese peice by Kenji Kawai titled Nightstalker. This peice was composed for the classic anime movie “Ghost In the Shell” – a movie which was far ahead of its time.

As always, download and enjoy!
